In the long-term electrophysiological signal acquisition or stimulation process of freely moving animals, because the animals randomly walk in the active area, the connection between the animal and the device will become knotted after a long time, which will affect the normal work. This phenomenon can be avoided by adding a commutator in the middle of the wire of the knot. The conventional commutator has 6 channels. The commutator has a very low torque and it can be easily rotated by mice. It could be applied to the recording of electrophysiological signals of free movement in rats and mice, it prevent the entanglement of the cable during long-term use.
